Students were given a tour of the historic building by current undergraduates, before watching – and participating in – the main debate. Our students intervened with points of interest throughout the debate and each gave impressive floor speeches, for which they received rapturous applause and cheers from the chamber.

The Debate Club, open to students in Years 9, 10 and 11, runs every Friday. We will be debating a range of motions across the year, attending a debate workshop at the Cambridge Union and participating in a Model United Nations.
